Report: Gazprom gives discount to Turkey’s private importers

MOSCOW, May 6 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom has provided a discount on the gas price to private Turkish importers Enerco Enerji, Avrasya Gaz and Akfel gas, all owned by Akfel Holding; Bosphorus Gas, Shell, Bati Hatti and Kibar Enerji, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday citing Energy Minister Taner Yildiz.

Business daily Kommersant reported that Turkish importers used to purchase Russian gas for U.S. $374 per 1,000 cubic meters, but the price for gas supplied in January–March will be recalculated with a discount and cut to below $300 per 1,000 cubic meters. In April–June, it will stand at about $260 per 1,000 cubic meters.
